In the western part of Andalusia, not far from the small town of Palos de la Frontera, there's a place with extraordinary historical significance \u2013 the Muelle de las Carabelas. From here<\/a>, over five centuries ago, Christopher Columbus set sail on his groundbreaking journey that forever changed the world by reaching the Americas and opening up a new world to Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The centrepiece of the exhibition are faithfully reproduced replicas of three famous ships: Santa Mar\u00eda<\/strong>, Pinta<\/strong> & Ni\u00f1a<\/strong>which, under the command of Columbus, crossed the Atlantic in 1492.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Visiting this site, you can do more than just admire the ships; you also have the chance to dive deep into the sailing techniques of the era, life on board during the month-long voyage through uncharted waters, and the initial encounters with the indigenous people of America.
