Camping Pião is one of the most popular campsites near the National Park of Portugal's highest mountains, the Serra da Estrela.
The site offers a pool, a playground, a restaurant, a bar, and, of course, restroom facilities.
I noticed quite a few tourists with tents, equipped with the necessary stuff, setting off in the morning on the hiking trails. The campsite's location right on the slopes of the high mountains is a big plus.
We spent the night there, planning to set off on a route through the highest mountains of Portugal in the morning.
