Whether you're a resident of Málaga or a tourist, Cabopino beach in Marbella is a place simply worth visiting! This charming beach offers not only a wonderful view of the Mediterranean Sea, but also a clean and sandy coastline and a peaceful atmosphere.
Right by the beach stands an old watchtower – Torre Ladrones. It was once part of the defense system for the Andalusian coast and is the tallest of its kind in the Malaga province.
The tower was built in the 15th century and was intended to warn of pirates and possible attacks from the sea. Its strategic location made it possible to observe the entire coastline and respond quickly in case of danger. Despite the passage of time, it has retained its impressive appearance and is today a popular tourist attraction.
Wooden walkways were constructed to protect a natural monument – the dunes of Artola (Dunas de Artola). Cabopino Beach, along with the Real de Zaragoza dune located in Las Chapas in Marbella, forms the Marbella Dunes Ecological Reserve.
